Pre Galvanized Square Steel Pipe

Galvanized steel pipes come in two main types: pregalvanized steel pipes (GI pipes) and hot-dipped galvanized steel pipes. The latter is produced using two techniques: zinc blowing machine galvanization and zinc pool galvanization.

Hot-dipped galvanized steel pipes are immersed in a zinc bath after fabrication, resulting in a minimum zinc coating thickness of 45 µm. The thickness of this coating is determined by multiple factors, such as the steel's surface condition, dipping duration, chemical composition, and dimensions. This process offers comprehensive corrosion protection, covering every part of the pipe, including edges and welds. As a result, the finished product can withstand various outdoor weather conditions. It is the most favored galvanization method and finds extensive application in the construction industry.

Pregalvanized steel pipes, also known as mill galvanized pipes, hot dip mill galvanized pipes, or continuous hot dip galvanized pipes, are galvanized when they are still in sheet form, before being manufactured into pipes. After the steel sheets are galvanized in a mill, they are cut to size and recoiled. The zinc coating on these pipes has a minimum thickness of 12 µm. One of the key benefits of pregalvanized steel pipes is their superior appearance. They are utilized in diverse products, such as conduits, lips, and open channels.
